In 1940 aged 22 Alice Reddihough, a Bookkeeper, married James Walter Thomas, a (TB) Hospital Clerk, in Bradford. James then enlisted and joined the Army. After the war, James got a new job at Beverly Hospital, near Hull. James & Alice had 2 children. The family moved from Middleton Hospital Cottages to Rowan House, Southway, Ben Rhydding, Ilkley in 1957. After her husband James retired, they moved to a bungalow at 18 Moor Park Crescent, Addingham, Yorkshire in 1973.
